Roman spearheads all client employee education activities, with particular expertise in providing participants with the knowledge needed to successfully implement their 401(k) accounts. In this role, he hosts education seminars and webinars, presenting to both small and large groups. His training covers topics such as: how much to save, how to enhance those savings, and how best to select and structure an appropriate mix of investment funds. These sessions are tailored around a client’s specific participant demographics and discussions are then designed to help improve employee outcomes in reaching retirement readiness.
Roman also works for the firm as an investment analyst, assessing and preparing performance reports, asset allocation studies and investment manager searches. This dual-role is designed to keep Roman informed and up-to-date of ongoing market developments so that his educational materials and methods stay at the forefront of industry best practices.
Prior to joining PEI, Roman worked in the benefits department at Chernoff Diamond & Co., where he was integral in the development of their employee education presentations. He also utilized their financial software to create reports for mutual fund review meetings and to hold yearly fiduciary reviews with clients. His team was able to drive participation across all clients, growing the company’s assets under advisement by approximately $400 million in 2017 alone.
Roman is a graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo, earning a BA in Mathematics, with a minor in Economics. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Russian and holds the Series 65 License. Roman is also a Chartered Financial Analyst Level II candidate, having recently passed the Level I exam.
