Duncan brings over a decade of experience working with institutional clients and plan sponsors, including support for defined contribution, defined benefit and non-qualified plans. He consults with clients across a range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, medicine and law, as well as with not-for-profit organizations. His work focuses on fiduciary governance, investment lineup creation and oversight, retirement plan design and recordkeeper fee benchmarking studies.
Prior to joining PEI, Duncan was a relationship manager at Vanguard with responsibility for 25 clients representing $2 billion in assets and over 10,000 participants. During his tenure with Vanguard, he consulted with some of the firm’s largest clients, including two top-ten plans by assets, on plan design and retirement readiness.
Duncan graduated from Princeton University in 2001 with a B.A. in Politics and Certificates in Political Theory, Chinese Language and East Asian Studies. He is a fluent speaker of French and Mandarin Chinese.
