Reintroduction of the Federal Retirement Commission Act

Senators have reintroduced the Federal Retirement Commission Act, calling for the creation of such an entity to improve how our nation promotes and supports retirement savings programs.

The Commission would be responsible for:

  • Investigating individual and household account balances and investment trends
  • Assessing societal trends such as wage and economic growth, health care cost and life expectancy
  • Recommending improvements for private retirement programs to Congress; May 28, 2019.
