Warren, New Jersey, April 14, 2015 – Portfolio Evaluations, Inc. (PEI), one of the country’s leading institutional investment consulting firms, is pleased to announce a new addition, Kathryn Spica, CFA as a Senior Research Analyst working within the Research Group.
Kathryn has an 8 year tenure with Morningstar, Inc., where she started as a data analyst and over the years moved into several different roles, including project management, client consulting, and senior fund analyst. Kathryn holds a CFA designation as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she received the KPMG Award for Leadership. At the University of Michigan, Kathryn graduated with Honors in Psychology and was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient.
As a Senior Analyst at Morningstar, Kathryn researched, analyzed, and wrote numerous reports on single- and multi-asset investment strategies, with a particular focus on fund-of-funds, such as target-date and allocation funds. Kathryn also led a seven-member team responsible for researching, rating, and reporting on 64 of the largest 529 College-Savings Plans. Kathryn also produced an annual white paper analyzing data and trends within the 529 College-Savings Plan industry, representing over $200 billion in assets.
