Warren, New Jersey March 28, 2014 – Portfolio Evaluations, Inc. (PEI) joined the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to help feed the hungry. PEI employees, along with their families and friends, packaged 6,700 bags of pasta and then packed them into 420 boxes which will be distributed throughout New Jersey. This is PEI’s third year supporting the Community FoodBank of New Jersey packaging food up for the hungry.
The Community FoodBank distributes 40 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,000 non-profit programs, as well as more than 400 programs served by its Partner Distribution Organizations (PDOs). Through their combined efforts, they feed 900,000 hungry people in 18 New Jersey counties. Community FoodBank of New Jersey is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest network of food banks, as well as a member of the New Jersey Federation of Food Banks, which includes our three Partner Distribution Organizations (PDOs): FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, Mercer Street Friends Food Bank and NORWESCAP Food Bank.
